Every year we adorn our Christmas tree with ornaments made by kids and families in ourJesse Tree Advent group. The ornaments are homemade with love and wrapped like a gift. Cuddling up with our advent book in front of our fake DVD fireplace, our warm and fuzzy holiday tradition commences. Each night of December is the same, leading all the way up to Christmas Day. The Bee kids can hardly wait to see the careful craftsmanship (or the cute effort) made by all their friends as they take turns each night unwrapping and showcasing a new ornament. Our group uses this book. Last year we also started reading Anne Voskamp’s Unwrapping The Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas. We’ve read several over the years, and so far hers is our favorite.
